things i love tuesday

Today I love: SEWING & NOTIONS

Based out of Chicago this printing shop makes things the old fashioned way!
No computers, no plastics.. produced on machines that are 50 to 100 years old.
Rad typefaces and cool designs make them even better!

Tessa and her little pup Ruby Roo head up this design company with adorable screen prints!

The whimsical designs from this California jewelry shop are simply adorable!
The fact that they have 12 pages full of inventory make it hard to narrow down your purchase.
I guarantee they will make their way into your favorites!

I sorta freaked out when I found his shop,
then I did a double take when I found out she is only a town over from me!
Oh em gee these are amazing and there's not much more I can say because I know you will agree!

things i love tuesday

Yesterday I mentioned that I'm changing this weekly feature a bit.
It will still remain a Things I Love topic, but it will be an etsy based post
featuring my 4 favorite shops at the moment!
There are so many great etsians I don't think I could ever run out of shops to talk about.

I'm providing one photo from each shop along with a small write-up & link
so you can check them out, and I'm sure you will fall in love too!
Its funny how I get into certain moods and it reflects onto the things I like.
This week I had an urge to get my hands dirty and plant my garden,
unfortunately today (my planned gardening day) its raining!
When I went to post my shops that I had chosen yesterday, my mood wasn't quite the same.
So I swapped them out for some others that I favorited that all seem to have the same vibe..
Natural. Peaceful. (kind of) Dark.
I know its spring, but I just find these images and shops to be lovely!

Cubits is a wonderful source for heirloom seeds (they produce the prettiest & unique fruits/veggies!)
With a strong belief in Urban Gardening & local food, they are providing the resources for anyone to garden.

For Strange Women is hands down the most beautifully crafted and exceptionally branded product lines
that I have seen on etsy for bath & body concoctions.
Jill works in tandem with the moon, yep you heard right!
She plans her work during moon cycles and always tries to wrap projects up before the new moon,
how rad is that??

Eden's Wake is a mother-daughter design powerhouse based in Arkansas.
Providing simple statement pieces with quality craftsmanship and beautiful product photography.
There is at least something for every persons taste in this shop.

The Black Baroque is the brain child of Alexandra an artist who is self taught in illustrator and photoshop.  She loves antiques and has found a way to use old book sheets with new (ye vintage inspired) art.
Reading through her profile she seems quirky, cheerful and has found lots of adventures in work & life!

Join me next week when I share 4 new shops with you to discover!

This week I'm all about Love & Spring

This oversized bow is just calling my name!
{via yesjess on etsy}

Pretty much every image on this tumblr is something I want to add to pinterest
or
we heart it..my other new love!

This blog is my latest obsession find!
Lots of pretty pics and a great layout design.

This is favorited on my etsy and I think if I look at it once more, I might just buy it!
{via dear golden on etsy}

Ok can someone please tell me where these are from?
They look like TOMS but I dont think they are..
I need them, in a bad way!

This week I'm loving peach..
actually I love it all the time
its a color that is so versatile and can be made cool or warm
some colors are associated with different times of the year
but i think peach is year round..
this color is only a small obsession of mine

This week I headed over to flickr to find all things peach
after browsing I noticed I'm all about Spring/Summer right now!

things i love tuesday

Today I'm keeping it simple.
Its my momma's Birthday.. and although I love her everyday today she is my tuesday love!

She is a little crazy and annoying, silly and weird
(but not all the time)
She has the worst phone manners of anyone I know
She cant carry a tune.. sorry mom you really cant!

But.. I love her!

She taught me how to love, how to share, how to be a hard worker
I got my rad cooking skills from her and we have all our silly inside jokes..

She is my best friend and I dont know what I would do without her..

P.S she turned 53 today! =)
(yep I'm a brat like that!)

This Etsy Shop: Dirty Laundry

Yummy?? Yeah.
Why do I always find products that I want to eat, that I'm not supposed to eat?
These handmade bath fizzies are created by Jeanee who by day works at Hallmark Cards
as a graphic designer (how cool right?!) she runs a great blog and is a beauty contributor
for NEET Magazine (where I'm advertising for the new spring issue, eep!!)

This rad chick:  Whimsey Handmade

Tammie is the creative genius behind the blog and *soon to be shop* for Whimsey Handmade
I'm hoping to do an interview around the time she launches her new shop, but in the mean time
go become her friend on facebook to get all the latest news on her products..
speaking of products here are a few of her items that she makes plus some from her vintage shop!

This local company: Papaya! Art  (Ashland, Oregon)

I have been a huge fan of Papaya for years now (since I bought my first piece from them in 2004 in Eugene, Oregon),
and they never cease to amaze me.
From their amazing studio, to the positive energy you get just from reading their blog
and of course the hours I could spend browsing all of their art work.
I love the fact that these wonderful people are in beautiful Southern Oregon with me.
Their new store is opening next month in downtown Ashland so for you locals, its a must see!

This tutorial: T-shirt Pom Poms

I know this has made the rounds all over blog land, but it is still so cute!
I want to make a bunch for a little garland to hang in my back yard this summer.
Too cute.

This etsy shop: Botanical Market

The packaging is A+ insanely sweet and simple..
this is the kind of product I would buy strictly based on its packaging alone!
The smells, the feel of the product, everything else. I'm sure that's just a bonus.

This indie designer: reddoll by Tatyana Merenyuk
(photography by Billy Rood)

I know I can be a little partial to ruffles (*wink, wink*) but can you blame me?
The photography and the dresses went on a date,
had their first kiss.. took it a little further.
and this is their love child, swoon!

This song: Mumford and Sons

Every ones "it" band right now, and rightfully so.
p.s do they all have mustaches?? =)

This website: damn you auto correct

you might ask yourself how I can go from all those lovely finds to something like this?
well it makes me giggle.
if you are ever in a down in the dumps mood,
I dare you to go here and try not to crack a smile or even laugh til you pee your pants!!
