One of the things I'm loving about this is the ease of purchasing directly from the page you are visiting. A lot of customers and/or readers might not have the time to visit multiple outside links or try to navigate shop pages just to purchase an item. This makes it simple, you have something- you post it right there (even on facebook) and they purchase. Seriously its like one of those 'shopping online for dummies' big yellow books they sell at Barnes & Noble- it doesn't get any easier!
Even their pricing is user friendly: there’s no up-front or monthly fees, you only pay when you sell. When you sell a product, you’re charged 2.5% plus any payment processing fees from PayPal or Stripe fees. So if you’re selling something that’s $20, you’d pocket $18.62
I love how they explained everything a little bit better in their video, plus I spy some unicorns and rainbows- so they had my attention pretty fast.
Introducing ShopLocket from ShopLocket on Vimeo.
As you can see ShopLocket is pretty simple and convenient. I already have two online shops, but this is perfect for me to use on exclusive items, limited stock or just fun sales for readers or fans only! Plus the widget is easy to use and you can post it almost anywhere.. I can't wait to try it out!
As an added bonus, ShopLocket is going to be randomly giving out FIVE $100 gift certificates to Michaels to people that sign up in the next two weeks!

I would love to do a "online yard sale" type thing on there! anything random i am wanting to get rid of throughout my house :)
ReplyDeleteSo cool! This would be a great way to do a closet sale or a closeout sale on some of my "retired" products :).
ReplyDeleteI would have a closet sale to make sure those wardrobe items that I just don't wear anymore can find a good home.
ReplyDeleteOld wedding decorations need to go - this would be a great place for something like that!
ReplyDeleteI'd sell Indie Gift Boxes, the overstock from each month. =]
ReplyDeleteThats perfect, they would go so quick!
DeleteGreat article! But it looks like the first two links (in the opening paragraph) are broken.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up!!! All fixed =)
DeleteI would try to sell items in my Etsy shop. My business is so.so.slow.

How do you see what people are selling on there?
ReplyDeleteI would probably sell prints.
ReplyDeleteWOW I really needed something like this, going to check it out. Thanks Heather!!!
ReplyDeleteI would sell some collectibles I have, and some unique clothing items.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the info! I have signed up and listed already! I have an Etsy shop but I listed items with ShopLocket that I have made for the tutorials on my blog. I love making things but can only keep and giveaway so many. This way I can {hopefully} get a little something for what I make and share on my blog!
ReplyDeleteThanks!

What a great selling tool, thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteHey, this is cool! I do a low of sewing projects just for fun, and I currently don't have an online shop or blog. I think I might try this service to "test the waters" and see if any particular item would be a popular seller!
ReplyDeleteSo cool!! I want to try this for the holidays!
