mani-monday: little tulips

Welcome to another edition of Mani-Monday- where we encourage you to take a little time out of your busy life for yourself by doing something as simple as polishing your nails.  This week was a little on the hectic side for me as my husband has been in Peru and surprised me by coming home a week early!  I have LOTS of my own time having him away when he is working, so when he comes home unplanned (although nice) it really throws me for a loop.  And also throws me to the nearest glass of wine to calm down.

I rocked those purple shades from last week all the way through yesterday and since I have a mani appointment tomorrow I decided to skip the polish for now.  Instead, I will get them done using a little inspiration from this adorable nail file I found at Jo-Ann's while waiting in line- damn you up-sale items!

Mani-Monday: just a few fav's

My nail polish collection was getting a little out of hand so I needed to find a better way to store them, but since I like to see things I didn't want to just keep tossing them in a basket.  I have used these trays from our shop that worked perfect, so a couple weeks a go I did a little organizing and I'm so happy to be able to find the shade I want when I need to! 

A few of you that follow on instagram (@thingslovely) and have seen my polish photos that I post occasionally have asked what some of my favorite products are and today I want to show you the best top coat ever.. and my current favorite cuticle oil.

Out the Door (seriously super fast drying top coat) I usually get this at Sallys Beauty Supply, but I've seen it at quite a few places.. its good stuff.

Julep Essential Cuticle Oil, I was a huge fan of CND solar oil ... til this came into my life. 

Last week we had some amazing links and as always we pick our favorite.. each week I tell you that you don't make it easy on me & thats the truth.. I did however have to pick this cupcake nail art, it was just too cute not to choose!

Anywayss I have dubbed these next 7 days to be all things pretty little fingers. Today I'm going to kick start it with some nail inspiration from my Pinterest board.  I re-vamped the fabric nail tutorial with better photos and it will be featured on kylaroma.com on Thursday, it's the same one that was published for Australian magazine Bella!!!  Also Heather from Glitter & Gloss is sharing a fun tutorial this week along with a giveaway and I have some more surprises so stick around!
