Saying Goodbye...

Yesterday I was so excited that we would be able to move over to our new place a week sooner then planned so we moved our bed over and are staying there tonight.  In all the excitement I guess I sort of forgot that when I woke up this morning it meant that lastnight was our last night here, and today is our last day living here... I get sentimental about things and try to make lasts and firsts noted as something special (because they are), but somehow in the chaos of everything I forgot.

So this is my little goodbye to 350 SW K St.

Where we had our first wedding anniversary

It's where I lived when I became a Lifestyle blogger here at Just Lovely Things

It was our Home Sweet Home

Where we lived when Arthur & Charlie came into our lives

A place we made a peaceful little home that we loved very much

A hangout for fun summer barbecues with friends & family

The house I lived in when I launched my photography business,
and the house I lived in when I made the decision to walk away from it

It's where we lived when Brandon got his promotion at work
and started traveling the world with his helicopters
It's where we got dressed up and went out on dates or stayed in and got cozy

The place that I got to decorate & leave pumpkins on my porch til December
and the little place where I burned a couple of meals

It's where I started Just Lovely Things
its the placed I lived when I made friends with Dana and we started Fawn & Flora
Both of which are contributing to us needing a bigger place so that I have a larger studio

Its the place I lived when I decided to quit being a Hairstylist & Salon owner

It was tiny and cute and it was all ours and we loved it

Although its just one house over, I will miss our little house where I turned 30 years old.
Where I became a full time blogger,
where I spent the night by myself (a lot) when my husband traveled for work..
I will miss making cozy fires and having the smell of a fireplace fill my house.
I know my mom will obviously come to the new place,  but I will miss our coffee dates
and hang outs sessions in the studio there while taking care of orders together.
There is so much more that happened here, that I will miss...

But I'm excited for new adventures and I can't wait to share those with you!

  4. Your post actually made me cry (for real... I had to run and grab the tissue box). I know just how you feel. It's so hard to say goodbye to all those cherished memories, yet at the same time it's so exciting to welcome the next adventures and new beginnings. I'm sure you will love your new home. I think it's wonderful that you dedicated this post to so many wonderful memories. You can always look back with fondness.

  5. I never really realized how much we leave behind when we move to a new place. I just got pretty nostalgic about the place we lived in before we moved.

Thank you for sharing your cherished memories, may you make many new ones in your new place!

  8. Such an adorable house! My husband and I have been married almost 8 years and we've moved six times, with another move on the way in a few weeks. We've said a lot of goodbyes and hellos to homes, but I always try to stop and remember all the good times before we move out. Wishing you all the best in your new home!

  9. What a sweet post. I'm so sentimental. I'll be a big baby when I move out of my apartment. I have an obsession with the number six because it's the number of my first apartment. xo, rv
