let's get hott..

I've been chatting with Maggie lately about juggling it all (business, life... etc.), getting out of the house, having me time.. you know just the usual.  Anyways yesterday we sorta checked in with each other to see if we were doing good with either kicking butt in our studios or finding free time away .. we both ended up getting out of our house/studios for a bit and its no surprise I ended up at a thrift store right?

I'm pretty darn excited to share my thrifting finds with you this week, mainly one of them because I have been on the hunt for this supply for an epic project I've been wanting to do for.ever! Ok well since last year.

When I saw this tutorial on Elsie's blog last year and how insanely easy it would be, the hunt was on for a large scale photo (this one is huge!) for a while!  The ones I loved were all running for more then I really wanted to spend on something that was going to get painted over anyway, til yesterday.. I found this gem and in the size I wanted for $15.  The frame is in perfect condition and I loved how vibrant the colors for the background letters will be.

I needed something this large because I'm going to put the lyrics from the Goo Goo Dolls - Iris (the first 2 verses) on it ..

And I'd give up forever to touch you
'Cause I know that you feel me somehow
You're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be
And I don't want to go home right now

And all I can taste is this moment
And all I can breathe is your life
And sooner or later it's over
I just don't wanna miss you tonight

Yes quite the task ahead of me.  Its the song I walked down the aisle to, so it really means something to us. Ha soooo cheesy =) .. so pretty much that's all I've been searching for and I'm so excited to cross it off my list! Of course I can't leave a thrift shop with just one thing so I snagged two cuties while I was out at St. Vincent: a cut out design shelf and coffee container. I didn't need either, but for $4 kinda hard to pass by.

Now I haven't decided if I regret this decision yet.. maybe if I'm ever on the lookout for gold glitter shoes I will be smacking my head over walking by these $2 beauties.  I was wearing boots/socks and didn't feel like pulling all that crap off to try these on.. I did however find time to tweet about them and everyone seemed to think I should get them.

Here's the deal, I doubt anyone in my town is trying to swoop them up anytime soon, so if they are there next time they will be mine.

and as usual I'm linking up with Mandy <-- you should too!
