self portrait challenge

Today Dana is over at her house (umm in Canada!) and I'm at mine in Oregon and we are working on our new shop Fawn & Flora !  To say the least it has been very exciting joining forces with my creative soul mate (!), yet extremely frustrating because everything we do for this business is via email & text.  So as we try to plan our 'about us' section in the shop and get our photos done for it, we have to keep sending each other email previews to maintain the same look for our company.  I took about 100 photos, mainly because my camera is on a tripod, I'm using a remote and there are a lot of little tweaks here and there that need to me made.  Also I'm wearing this over the top flower head piece that I'm not quite used to (sneak peek on facebook here).

Well after playing around for a bit, I remembered this post that Chelsea from The Paper Mama put up last week and I thought I would take part.  Taking a self portrait is not the most fun I've ever had.  In fact one of the main reasons I use models for all my products is that I'm the photographer so its easy for me to take a quick pic and be done.  Let's not forget my friends that I use are cute, tiny have great skin and beautiful hair.. all of which I dont.  On the other hand I do know how to find some great lighting for my own photos.  So today this is me.  I did a coconut oil treatment on my hair so forgive the grease (that stuff works wonders!!).  I may have insecurities, but one thing I'm not insecure about is letting myself just be.  I love that I get to blog and run my shop full time, honest to goodness I love the accessories I make.  I adore my customers, my readers, the new friends I've been making.. and I'm grateful that they like me, just the way I am. The non-skinny, non-perfect Heather.

Per the post at The Paper Mama.. I'm supposed to answer these things below!

Obsessing over…The fact that my gmail account is down and I haven't had any emails come through since last night, I hope it gets fixed so that people don't think I'm ignoring them!
Working on…Orders! and trying to get the new felt color swatches photographed, also more business posts for the Love Your Business Series!
Thinking about…What I should make for dinner, we have only had dinner out once since the New Year and I'm running out of ideas!
Anticipating…The opening of our new shop Fawn & Flora and the re-modeling of the studio (so excited for this!)
Listening to…Mumford and Sons... never get tired of them.
Eating…I had toast earlier, now just sipping on coffee that I made with soy creamer and I'm not sure how I feel about it yet.
Wishing…
That eating things that taste so good weren't so so bad!
