Hey there lovely readers, I'm Jen from {knotieties} super soft luxe hair ties.  I design and create all things {knotieties}.  These special little accessories are my addiction. {knotieties} are super gentle on your locks & won't leave a crease in your hair.  We also have a jewelry line that looks awesome in your hair with a little extra sparkle & they all double as super chic bracelets.   I believe that beauty is looking effortlessly amazing, and my goal is to have {knotieties} help everyone do that.

WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE BEAUTY TIPS & TRICKS?

My favorite hair trick is those twisty-turban towel thingies. i have super curly locks but wear it smooth 98% of the time, which can be very hard on your hair if you are using a flat iron or blowing it out constantly. first things first, if you are washing your hair every day, it's too much, give every other a try and watch your hair health improve. okay, back to the tip. after an evening shower i load up my hair with Kerastase Ciment Thermique & Shu Uemura Oil comb through lightly just to make sure its evenly dispersed the wrap my mane up in the little turban towel & leave it in there for a few hours or fall asleep with it then yank it out at some point in the night. i find that it helps lock in all the product and moisture. then when my hair is pretty much dry by morning, i spray on some Straight.Sexy.Hair Smooth & Seal and run a huge barrel curling iron through sections of my hair for super smooth voluminous locks :) ...and {knotieties} to keep all that hard work looking awesome...breakage&dent free :)

DO YOU FOLLOW ANY BEAUTY TRENDS?

I think for the most part I am a little slow when it comes to the very trendy stuff. my wardrobe and look is classically simple. I live in California & I think the most popular look is high end casual.....you know, your favorite designer jeans, a comfy hoodie and cute flipflops (or flats), which usually require some sparkle or girly flare for me.

WHAT IS ONE FASHION TREND YOU HOPE TO NEVER SEE AGAIN?

I will never understand why the 80's fashions have returned...i wouldn't hall the 80's a fashion style at all...it was just a hot mess. seeing celeb's where wear neon printed jampants that should only be worn by professional wrestlers or a fedora that looks too small for your head and those weird circle shades...sorry I don't think they looked good on Duckie from sixteen candles so why does Beyonce think it works now?

WHAT GIRLY OR PAMPERING THINGS DO YOU LIKE TO DO?

For me, finding ways to be girly, feminine and pamper myself is a must for my sanity. between my manly hubby, and two rough and tumble sons, the need for some flowers and sparkle is ever present. i think that is why I love and enjoy making and designing {knotieties} so much...since i don't have any girls to cover in sparkles, ruffles and bows, i can make them for others to enjoy for themselves and their little girls.
