Mani-Monday: neon & nude

This week I decided to take my acrylic overlay off my nails.  Originally I started doing the overlay as a way to keep my nails stronger (its just thin coats of acrylic over your natural nail), but then they kept getting thicker and looking unnatural.  So I popped em off and opted for some clear gel instead - just to make sure they stay thicker then my fragile little natural nails want to be and to help me curb my picking habit.  I have to say - I'm in love!  They feel so much better -except by pinky nail, it's totally pissed off-, look more natural and are an ideal length for me (since I do so much computer work and sewing by hand).

Today I decided to polish over the clear gel and was totally inspired by Jennas new shop Neon & Nude and decided to keep my nails a nude color with just a pop of pink on the pointers.  I used Essie - Brooch the Subject & Fruit Sangria.

Every week it has been so fun to see the polish posts that you link up with us and each week we get to choose a favorite (check out Heather's pick here) and you keep making it harder for me to narrow it down to just one! I really liked the color combo that Roxanne choose, however I just had to share Carmens tutorial -invasion of the purple people eaters!

NOW ITS YOUR TURN!!

Each week we open up a link-up Monday-Friday and we would love to invite you to join in.  If you don't have a post ready (or don't blog) use hashtag #maniparty on twitter or instagram to join in on the fun!
