If you have an etsy shop you may think that you are limited to the actual etsy website
to control your business and track sales/stats etc..
But do you know that there are many more resources out there to better your seller experience?
In order to have a successful business, you need more then just an etsy storefront.
Yes.. anyone/everyone can have one... but how you run it is what sets you apart.
Here are a few of my favorites:
When you go the the site, enter in your etsy seller name.
To benefit from this site more, I would link up to the button on the left (import etsy)
You can easily track your daily sales, and how many people heart your shop.
My favorite thing to do is 'Edit Express', where you can go through and edit all your prices
on all your items at once (if you want to raise them, or put on a sale!)
If you want to see how people find you, link up your google analytics.
Is a multi use tool that allows you to:
- track your current inventory,
how many views it has and how many people heart it
(which allows to you to see popularity in styles)
- automatically have your listings renewed
- locate inventory (useful for larger shops)
- email you when you are featured on the etsy front page!
- allow you to view your biggest fan, plus a fan list
Of course from your account, etsy does offer some great tools.
If you are not signed up to the etsy newsletter, you are really missing out.
They are FULL of great advice, and you can usually find a new business that will become your favorite!
From the settings section of your account you can view which subscriptions to sign up for.
(etsy success is a great one!)
Here is a list of other great resources, just for your browsing pleasure!
Enter your shop name and calculate current inventory shop value
A seller how to guide to find descriptive words to use when using tags in your listings
A post about ways to run a shop, with good customer service practices and helpful tips
^ the name says it all
These are just a few helpful places I have found along the way to help me understand my shop better,
and with that understanding I have been able to control the type of shop I want to have.
Whenever I think about my shop (& what I do) I try to think of these things..
Am I doing what I love?
Am I still loving life while working?
Am I making myself happy before trying to make everyone else happy?
Am I providing the kind of service that I would want?
Sometimes life can get hectic, and the best word of advice I can give you is to be honest.
To yourself and to your customers.. it will pay off!
